A world in which Earth is just one realm among countless realms. Entire realms home to mythological creatures, teeming with inter-realm politics. All of which is shielded from the humans of Earth by the Veil.When the Fryste Realm, home to the icy Fryst Elves, suddenly kills the royal couple of the tranquil realm of Ireceia, who have kept the peace among the realms for as long as anyone can remember, trouble brews on the horizon for their new young and inexperienced rulers as they prepare to lead a pacifist people through war.

Estelle Verlite
The prodigy apprentice and adopted daughter of the previous Serene Advisor. Took over the position a short while before the attack on Ireceia. The only successor of Ireceia's Tri-Council to have had proper training.
High Princess
Solana Aletheia née Araqiel
The adopted daughter and niece of the previous royal couple. Formally the heir presumptive before Nathaniel's birth. Was set to take over the previous Queen's position in Tri-Council. Kidnapped during the attack on Ireceia.

Bastard son of Marquis Devon Hyst and the adopted son of his now-Ex wife, Viscountess Lydia Arista Vierre. Highly intelligent, was at the Fryste Royal Court as a representative for his adoptive mother's company when he came across Estelle. Was able to discern immediately that she was lying about her identity
King of Ireceia
Nathaniel Erasmus Aletheia
The heir apparent and only blood-related child of the previous royal couple. Too young to have started proper heir training at the time of the attack and was forced to take the throne unprepared. Having lost his parents and adopted sister suddenly, he relies heavily on Estelle.

On the surface Arnthisle appears to be nothing but a hectic and busy hub of commerce. Situated at the center of the trade networks, there is nothing lacking in Arnthisle. Anything is possible, for the right price.Under the surface, however, is a very different reality. Arnthisle is home to a host of sinister and treacherous individuals and organizations.

A witch abandoned by her birth family and taken in by an older couple. Lost her adoptive family when her neighbourhood was set on fire by someone. Seeking revenge she ended up entangled in the underbelly of the city. Was taken in by the Madonna and quickly rose in rank.

Has been involved in the underside of the city since the day he ran away from his orphanage as a child. Rumoured to have formed a contract with Hanami when she joined the mafia as they rose in rank together. Became her right-hand when she took the position of Queen

Elias Caelum
Sought out Hanami Yui for her expert knowledge of potions and elixirs to cure his cursed elder brother. However, in exchange, he had to give up his previous life and join the mafia under her. Has siren blood and is therefore capable of convincing anyone of anything.

The second born of the noble Rosacea family. Unassuming and normal on the surface, few are aware that the family is actually affiliated with the Cult of Irazanoth, the devil. Yvonne herself is a fully devout follower and willing to go to extremes. Was the one that introduced Elena to blood magic

Grew up loved by her family until they discovered she was supposed to be the twin that should've been abandoned instead of Hanami and immediately turned on her. In desperation and heartbreak, she killed them all but this led to her spiralling and eventually seeking out blood magic, going down a dark path. highly wanted and famous. Leaves mass destruction in her wake.

The mysterious and elusive mafia head. Personally bought in Hanami. Little to no one, besides the heads of the Mafia's sectors, has even seen her.

Alana is a Wanderer, born into this lifestyle of travelling from place to place with nowhere to call home.Having lost her mother at a young age in a tragic encounter with a figure of authority, Alana is well acquainted with the hardships that come with having only yourself to rely on. So when she comes across a newly orphaned child in her travels, she decides to take her in, hoping to save her from the sorrows she went through.
However, when a run-in with feral werewolves goes horribly south, she has no choice but to put her trust in the very group of people she detests, the government, or risk losing the child she's come to love as her own.

Was found by Alana crying beside the dead body of her birth mother. Doesn't remember her birth mother. Curious and intelligent for her age. Resolutely follows Alana's guidance.
Researcher of Ancient Studies
Dr. Iven Kveldte
Formally an Ancient Studies researcher at the main government-funded research institute. Due to an accident at his previous job, he was transferred out. Ended up as a field medic for a Survey Crew, the one who later runs into Alana and Aria.
Sorrow of a False Heart
Lucretia was a perfect creation. Or at least, that's what her memories tell her. Unfortunately for her, no one else can seem to remember the past that exists in her memories. It doesn't help that her own memories are incomplete. She can't remember how she ended up in the attic of her cousin, or why she's been asleep for nearly three decades. What she does know is that someone wants her dead.

A Doll created by the famous Enchanter Alphonse Locksworth. Remembers little of her past, but the memories she does have do not match the historical records of the time. Found sleeping in a local lord's attic by Alistair and his mentor and guardian, Martin Argyle.

Adopted by the teacher Martin Argyle who taught at his orphanage. Now he works alongside his mentor as a tutor for the kids Martin teaches. Highly interested in history and Enchanters. Immediately at odds with Lucretia when they find her.
Demon
Cecil/Malachi
A weak demon initially contracted to Kill Lucretia once she was rescued from the Attic. Since his contractor had really weak mana, he was able to null it by signing a contract with Lucretia instead, who had higher mana.
